Teamwork is one of the core features of the Penterep platform. Thanks to its support, you can assign any number of workers to different roles for each project. For example, the work team may consist of several penetration testers, developers, the customer and a manager supervising the works.
Penetration testers may be assigned for testing a specific part of the environment under test, but thanks to the Penterep platform, they will have no trouble working in parallel without the need of dividing up the tasks first. Since the platform displays real-time information about which tests have already been executed and which are still pending, testers can also collaborate with each other and test one specific component together without redundant work. It is also excluded that a test would not be performed at all. As all information, including notes and attachments, is stored directly in the platform, this information can also be shared, greatly boosting work efficiency.
Once a vulnerability is found by any of the testers, this allows an immediate notification to a developer, IT personnel, customer or other staff assigned with remediation who can start working on it without delay. Or they can also discuss the findings directly with the testers via the platform if needed. If the remediator fixes the vulnerability found, they can change the status of the finding and so ask the testers to retest.
The manager supervising the testing is always kept up-to-date on the project status. They can see how much of the project has already been completed and how much work remains to be done. They can compare the speed and extent of the works against the plan and can address any issues to ensure that the specified extent of work and deadlines are met. In addition, the manager can monitor the performance and success of individual testers to ensure that the team as a whole is as effective as possible.
You can also invite the customer you are testing for to join your team. This way, they can be kept informed in real time about the current status and individual findings in the same way as other staff assigned with remediation. They can also join the discussions and, if necessary, ask for retesting of repaired parts.
With Penterep, teamwork becomes a breeze. Thanks to it, all members of your team will have a perfect overview of the current project status and won't find it difficult to get involved at any project stage.
